Mrs. Sharon Alfreda Batts Smith, age 64, of Warsaw, NC peacefully made her transition to eternity on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Laurels of Pender, Burgaw, NC. A graveside service will be 12:00 noon Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at New Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2283 South NC 11 Hwy, Rose Hill, NC. Rev. Cameron Hankins, officiating. Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Marvin Smith, of Warsaw; six children: Matin Batts (Walinda) of Warsaw, Derrick Smith (Robin) of Kenansville, Michael Smith of Greenville, Eugene Smith (Lawanda) of Greensboro, Tabitha Cunningham (Rod) of Charlotte and LaKesha Reid (Bobby) of Kenansville; three brothers: Edward Teachey, Carvett Batts and Issac Batts, all of Rose Hill; one sister, Helen Smith (Spencer) of Kenansville; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two aunts, three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss her dearly. A walk-through viewing for relatives and friends will be 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Monday, December 21, 2020, at Rose Hill Funeral Home, Rose Hill, NC. Please be mindful of the Governor's Executive Order limiting gatherings to No More than 50. We will be expecting Everyone entering our facility to comply with the order(Only 50 people will be allowed in the facility at all times), Wear face covering, and practice social distancing.
