Mrs. Rose Lee Highsmith Stokes, age 93, of New York, formerly of Duplin County, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at University of Maryland Washington Hospital in Glen Burnie, MD. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill, NC. Interment will follow at Duplin Memorial Gardens, Highway 117, Teachey, NC. Left to cherish her precious memories are her daughter, Annie Lisbon (Robert) of Severn, MD; sister, Gladys Newton (Samuel) of Magnolia, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Viewing for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday, March 18, 2022.
