Ms. Rachel Adele Smith, age 33, of Durham, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Funeral service will be held from the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Dr. Cathy Gilliard, officiating. Burial will follow at Sloan Family Cemetery in Magnolia, NC. Left to cherish her precious memories are her parents, Reba Smith of Durham, NC and James Odell Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Raymond Dobson, Jr. (Valarie) and sister, Jamie Nichole Smith both of Durham, one nephew, Raymond Dobson, III, one niece, Noelle Dobson; five aunts; Primmie Lee Brinson, Geraldine Bryant, Cathy Gilliard, Goldie Byrd (Randy) and Luetta Glover, two uncles; Jessie Smith, Jr. (Angie) and Anthony Craig Smith (Tikia); numerous cousins, friends, sorors and colleagues that will miss her dearly. A visitation of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
