Mrs. Louise Edwards Stokes, age 85, of Brooklyn, NY, formerly of Duplin County, Entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 in Brooklyn, NY. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday, August 7, 2020 at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC. Pastor Travis Newkirk, officiating. Interment will follow in the Houston Family Cemetery, Warsaw, NC. Left to cherish her precious memories are one son, Gregory Edwards (Karen) of Brooklyn, NY and one daughter, Catherine Stokes of Charlotte, NC; three brothers; James Edwards of Lake Charles, LA, George and Burnest Edwards of Wallace, NC; special grandchildren: Shorell and Brianna Stokes; eighteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandchild; two step-children: Billy Stukes of Brooklyn, NY and Mark Stukes of Buctner, NY; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss her dearly. Visitation for relatives and friends will be 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Rose Hill Funeral Home, Rose Hill, NC.
