Joe Louis Mathis

Mr. Joe Louis Mathis, age 85, of Magnolia, died Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. A private funeral service will be held from the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Pastor James Faison, III officiating. Left to cherish his precious memories are two sons: Lynn Mathis of Mt. Olive and Joel Mathis of Magnolia; two daughters, Jennifer Bland of Magnolia and Renee McLeod (Archie) of Ronoke Rapids; one sister, Francis Mathis Tatum (Lowell) of Cambrian Heights, NY; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
