Mr. James Davies Dobson, age 79, of Rose Hill, NC Answered the Masters Call on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Vidant Duplin Hospital, Kenansville, NC. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 19, 2020 at New Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 South NC 11 Hwy, Rose Hill, NC. Rev. Cameron Hankins, officiating. Burial will follow at Dobson Family Cemetery, Magnolia, NC. Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Helen Chasten Dobson of Rose Hill; daughter, Rachella Dobson of Greenville; special sons: Jarvis Robinson of Wallace and Marvin Garner of LaGrange; three sisters: Jerlean Brunson (William) of Fayetteville, Hazel Whitfield of Lanham, MD and Lena Clayton (Frank) of Fayetteville; sister-niece, Pertina Pugh (Anthony) of Raeford; great-niece, Talissa Melvin, great-nephew, Treagan Glasper, uncle, Johnny Southerland (Roberta) of Jacksonville, four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss him dearly. A walk-through viewing for relatives and friends will be 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Rose Hill Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Please be mindful of the Governor's Executive Order limiting gatherings to No More than 50. We will be expecting Everyone entering our facility to comply with the order(Only 50 people will be allowed in the facility at all times), Wear face covering, and practice social distancing.
