Mr. Howard Lemuel Carr, age 54, of Norfolk, VA, formerly of Duplin County, NC transitioned on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Norfolk, VA. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC. Burial will follow at Brinson Cemetery, Rainbow Road, Warsaw, NC. Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Marilyn Carr; two children: Eugene Uchi and Ronna Lyn Uchi; nine grandchildren: Kamari, Jeremiah Lane, Lorenzo Uchi, Jaivon Uchi, Jazlyn Uchi, Jo’Vante’ Banks, Jr., Addelyn Uchi, Ja’Nyla Uchi-Banks and Jai Lyn Uchi-Banks; father, King Lemuel Carr; sevven sisters: Loretta Kea, Shirley Carr, Justina Carr, Ladina Peterkin, Erica Carr, Maggie Carr and Niecey Carr; four brothers: Johnny Kea, Ronnie Furlow, Rafiq Carr and King Lemuel Carr; numerous relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. A viewing will be held at the funeral home chapel, one hour prior to the service at Rose Hill Funeral Home. Please be mindful of the Governor's Executive Order limiting gatherings to No More than 50 persons. We will be expecting EVERYONE entering our facility to comply with the order(Only 50 people will be allowed in the facility at all times), Wearing a mask or facial covering, sanitizing your hands, and practicing social distancing.
