Hershell Laverne Batts

          Mr. Hershell Laverne Batts, age 75, of Clinton, Iowa, formerly of Duplin County passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at home.

Homegoing services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill, NC at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at St. Lewis Church Cemetery in Chinquapin, NC.

Left to cherish his precious memories are two sons: Kendrick Batts of Rose Hill and Waylon Batts of Davenport, IA; one daughter, Renira Batts of Chicago, IL; three brothers: Lemia Clarence Batts, Jr. (Scarlett) of Spartanburg, SC, Ogden Batts (Arlatha) of Wallace, NC and Jerry Batts (Betty) of Teachey, NC; one sister, Deborah Gail Winslow (Craig) of Los Angeles, CA; three aunts, two uncles; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
