Elizabeth "Lizzie" Mae Smith Hester

          Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Smith Hester, aka “Lizzie”, age 89, of Salisbury, NC passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at home.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Rose Hill Funeral Home in Rose Hill, NC followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Duplin Memorial Gardens in Teachey, NC.

Left to cherish her precious memories; nine children: Alvesta (Tyrone) Edmond of New York, James (Margurite) Wallace of Sicklerville, NJ, Azelda (Mark) Dixon of Salisbury, NC, Letitia (James) Adkins of Emporia, VA, Meriam Hester(Samuel Cook), Victoria(Xavier) Pisano of Sickerville, NJ, Jewelene (Elliot) Boyce of Somerdale, NJ, Jewel Hester of Columbia, SC, Tosha (Karl) Standifer of Charlotte NC; three siblings: Nancy Smith and Harly Wilson of Camden, NJ, and Mary Anne(Shelton) Neal of Pennsauken, NJ; sixty-six grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, and thirteen great, great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
