Mrs. Dorothy Joyce Chasten Dixon, age 75, of Rose Hill, NC Transitioned into Eternal Rest on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, September 19, 2020, at New Christian Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2283 S NC 11 Hwy, Rose Hill, NC. Rev. Cameron Hankins, officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Family Cemetery, Rose Hill, NC. Left to cherish her precious memories are one son, Brian Dixon of Magnolia; three sisters: Helen Dobson (James) of Rose Hill, Glorious Boykin (James) of Magnolia and Carolyn Ann Glasper of Rose Hill; two grandchildren, Elijah, and Jeremiah Dixon; one brother-in-law: Roosevelt Dixon; two sisters-in-law, Gail Chasten and Valerie Chasten; two aunts, Garrett McCalop and Nora Lee Chasten; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss her dearly. Visitation for relatives and friends will be 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, September 18, 2020, at Rose Hill Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Please be observant of Governor Roy Cooper’s Executive Order 121 Order limiting mass gatherings to No More than 50 individuals. Everyone entering the facility is expected to comply with the order.
