Mrs. Betty Lee Bowen-Boney, age 91, of Willard, NC peacefully transitioned into Eternal Rest on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Wilmington, NC. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC. Rev. William Smith officiating. Entombment will be at Newkirk Chapel Church Cemetery, Willard, NC. Left to cherish her precious memories are two sons: Franklin O. Boney, of Wallace, NC and Lewis J. Boney of Willard, NC; three daughters: Lena M. Thompson of Wallace, Vivian Martin (Francis) of Santa Clarita, CA, and Gloria Boney Davis (Larry) of Durham; three sisters-in-law: Laura Etta Boney of Willard, Florie Boney of Greensboro and Patricia Boney of Hopkins, SC; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Viewing for relatives and friends will be 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Friday, February 26, 2021, at Rose Hill Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Funeral services will be live-streamed from the Rose Hill Funeral Home Facebook page. Please be mindful of the Governor's Executive Order limiting gatherings to No More than 50 persons. We will be expecting EVERYONE entering our facility to comply with the order(Only 50 people will be allowed in the facility at all times), Wearing a mask or facial covering, sanitizing your hands, and practicing social distancing.
