Mr. Alvon Bernard Bailey, age 59, of Teachey, died Friday, April 16, 2021 at Vidant Duplin Hospital, Kenansville. Funeral services will be held from the Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 am. Rev. Danielle Glaze officiating. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Blanche Lipscomb Bailey; two sons: Alvon Bailey, Jr. and Bradford Rivenbark; three daughters: ShaShawnda Carlton (Termonja), Shaquella Bailey and Jayla Rivenbark; mother-in-law, Grace Merritt; three sisters: Adrienne Williams, Sheila Bailey and Ella Bailey Jenkins (Christopher); three grandchildren, three special grandchildren; special son, Herman Johnson (Divya); special friends: Allen Paul and Cora Murray; best friend, James Mathis "Voo Doo"; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss him dearly. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10 am to 11 am, one hour prior to the service. Please be mindful of the Governor's Executive Order limiting gatherings to No More than 100 persons. We will be expecting EVERYONE entering our facility to comply with the order (Only 100 people will be allowed in the facility at all times), Wearing a mask or facial covering, sanitizing your hands, and practicing social distancing.
