Alberta Farrior Monk-Miller

Mrs. Alberta Farrior Monk-Miller, age 99, of Kenansville, NC Peacefully Transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, February 10, 2020, at her home. She is survived by four sons: Donnell Monk (Lenora) James Monk and Eddie Monk (Joyce), of Kenansville and Eugene Monk (Wanda) of Kissimmee, FL; six daughters: Betty Sydnor (Alvin) of Washington, DC, Mildred R. Dixon of Magnolia, Mary Louise Owens of Silver Springs, MD, Deborah Hamilton (Carl) of Clayton, Josephine Wilson of Washington, DC and Connie Grimes (Robert) of McDonough, GA; one brother, Sanders Farrior of Olean, NY; five sisters: Dorothy Williams of Hyattsville, MD, Mary McKinney of Washington, DC, Gertrude Dumpson of Capital Heights, MD, Loreathea Davis of Washington, DC and Leona Fields of Riverside, CA; one step-daughter, Margaret Miller; forty-three grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren, and twenty-six great, great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 15, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Kenansville, 247 N Church St, Kenansville, NC 28349. Rev. Malcolm Batts, officiating. Interment will be at the Farrior Cemetery, Kenansville, NC. Visitation for relatives and friends will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, February 14, 2020, at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road, Rose Hill, NC.
